Katy and Trevor’s Rustic Chic Wedding at Gruene Estate
Katy and Trevor had such a elegant wedding at Gruene Estate. They are from Dallas, so like many of the couples that get married at G.E., theirs was a destination wedding. Searching for a rustic authentic venue with plenty of Hill Country charm, they chose to get married with us, which is such an honor. Gruene Estate’s open air chapel, reception area, and historic Gruene family farm house fit perfectly with Katy’s design vision. Using floral arrangements and unique DIY elements, they enhanced the existing beauty of the venue, and pulled off the perfect balance of rustic and chic!

Providing the perfect amount of rustic Hill Country elegance, the original Gruene family home was built in 1856. Arriving from Hannover Germany, Ernst and Antoinette built this home to accomodate their growing family. H.D., one of their several sons, built a thriving cotton empire on approximately 6,000 acres, which includes Gruene Hall, The Gristmill Restraunt, and several other historic buildings in and around New Braunfels.
Katy’s dress, a Maggie Sottero lace gown with a semi sweetheart neckline is absolutely stunning. In addiition, she also wore a pair of opal and diamond earrings that have been passed down through the family and worn by generations of Hailey women.
Opting for a laid back boho look, her bridesmaids chose to mix and not match with dresses from Show Me Your Mumu.
Trevor and his #guygang wore suites from The Black Tux. Keeping in line with a growing trend for the 2018 wedding season, we are seeing brides and grooms transition from formal to more a casual style. Here the guys sport a traditional suit, but dress it down a bit by choosing not to where the tie.
