Weddings will always be what Gruene Estate does best; however, it’s ok to try something new.  We are always trying to evolve as a business and make innovative changes, sometimes that means branching out.  We have such a beautiful event space in Gruene Texas, the best town in the Texas Hill Country, but often times people only get to experience Gruene Estate if they are in or invited to a wedding.  We want to add cultural value to the communities of Gruene and New Braunfels.  Opening the venue to some different types of events has always been our goal, and this will allow more people to enjoy all that Gruene Estate has to offer.

This spring we have teamed up with Southern Tapsters Bartending, and we are offering some live acoustic musical sets with accompaniments on limited dates.  The series is called Texas Guitars Under The Stars.  March 5th we are excited to have Chris Colston opening for Kolby Cooper.  The shows are more intimate as our maximum capacity is 250-300 guests, so tickets are limited.  We will have FM 311 food truck available for food as well as a full bar from Southern Tapsters, bonfire, and yard games.  These shows are 21 and up.  Both artist are up and coming, but are being featured at the Steamboat Music Festival.

Kolby Cooper, born and raised in Palestine, TX, grew up riding shotgun in his dad’s cow truck, which is where he first discovered the artists that would come to be his biggest musical influences (Waylon Jennings, Chris Ledoux, Cross Canadian Ragweed and a few others). He picked up a guitar around the age of 12 and played his first show at the age of 14. Only four short months after he graduated from Cayuga High School, he was in the studio working on his first project (Vol. 1). The five song EP contained two top 5 singles (“It Ain’t Me” and “Every Single Kiss”). He recently released a brand new single (“Tired”) that reached number 3 on the chart. He’s released a full length album in two parts called Good Ones Never Last. The album includes songs about being in love, losing a loved one, and everything in between.

Gruene Estate is excited to bring the communities of Gruene and New Braunfels limited musical acts in an intimate setting.  Kolby Cooper and Chris Colston will be a great addition the Gruene Texas music scene.  You can get your tickets at Eventbrite.com.  We’ll see ya’ll at the show!
